Spring and Summer 2019

Artyverse has focused on locations during the Spring and Summer terms this year and we have explored lots of exciting places. We have used a number of unusual art materials and techniques – including painting portraits with carrots as brushes - and played many sensory games. Who can forget having a snowball fight under the Northern lights with the sound of walruses in the background for the Arctic class?

In the club have created glittering 3-d caves with bats, paintings of imaginary planets brought to life with temperature-changing paint, scented desert sandstorm boxes and illustrations of fire using paint we made from prehistoric pigments. Artyverse also staged two exhibitions, the Artyverse Forest, which showcased our 3D trees, and the Artyburb, which displayed our 3D multisensory houses.

In the Autumn term we will move away from locations to classes inspired by literature and traditional fairy tales including Alice in Wonderland and Hansel and Gretel.

New Preschool Classes

Here at Artyverse we are very excited to announce a new class aimed at preschool children (ages 3-4) and their parents/carers.

These unique sessions will allow parents/carers to both experience and create multisensory art with their children. Hear the waves, smell the seaweed and touch the starfish as you both create a seascape. Get inspiration from listening to camels and munching on dates for your desert box. Every week provides a different multisensory adventure.

The Artyverse Preschool Classes will run for 45 minutes during the school term. They cost £8 per session for one adult and one child and classes are charged by the term. Each child must be accompanied by an adult who will be an active participant in the class.

Come with us on a creative journey. Why should your children have all the fun?
